Interdisciplinary Learning

This programme covers three areas of Cultural Management: (1) Heritage and Conservation; (2) Cultural Development and Creative Industry; (3) Arts and Festival. It emphasizes cross-disciplinary studies. It aims to educate and train a new breed of cultural leaders and mediators to interpret, define and defend cultures. With senses and respects for different cultures, they will commit to develop local culture from the perspectives of Fine Arts, Anthropology, History, Archaeology, Cultural Studies or any combinations of the above.

8-week Internship – Taste of an Insider

To nurture a generation of insightful cultural practitioners, opportunities of an approximately eight-week internship programme are provided for students who are interested to get exposure to current cultural institutions. Students will have opportunities to gain actual working experience, learn from in‐field practitioners, understand how cultural institutions operate and try to survive.

The programme calculates admission scores based on the total score of Best 5 HKDSE subjects.

Bonus points will be awarded to the 6th and 7th subjects.

Note 1: Please note that admission to the University is on a competitive basis. Apart from public examination results, applicants' other learning experiences, prior education, and interview performance (if any) will also be considered.

Note 2: For score conversion of Category C: Other Language subjects, Grade A = 5 / Grade B = 4 / Grade C = 3 / Grade D = 2 / Grade E = 1

Note 3For 2021 entry, the best result in the same subject taken by a candidate in his/her three most recent attempts of the HKDSE examination will be used for calculation of the admission score.
