Regulations Governing Admission to Part-time Undergraduate Studies

I.
General

Applicants seeking admission to an approved part-time course of study leading to a bachelor’s degree shall have fulfilled the entrance requirements of the University as prescribed in these regulations.
 
II.

Admission to the Part-time Degree Programme in Early Childhood Education

Entrance requirements

Applicants shall:

1. a.
have attained the Qualified Kindergarten Teachers (QKT) status by attending a course of not less than 250 contact hours; and
  b. have completed the Certificate in Early Childhood Education (CE(CEC)) with a Grade Point Average of 2.0 or above at a recognized post-secondary institution; and
  c. be holding a full-time teaching position in the field of early childhood education; or
 
2.
be aged 23 or over on 1st September in the year in which admission is sought, provided that they
  a.
are able to show either by publication or other acceptable evidence that they have achieved sufficient competence in early childhood education to justify admission; or have shown exceptional ability in appropriate academic or professional field; and
  b.
have had at least five years of professional experience in the field of education or other relevant fields; and
  c. sit and pass an entrance test.
