Course Description
This course looks at the relationship between gender and culture, by comparing women and men in societies with different modes of production and social organization. Through analyzing their sex roles, enculturation process, kinship, division of labour by sex, power and control, and social development, students will understand how culture influences the concept of gender and its related behaviour among human groups.

本科目探討性別與文化的關係,從性別角色、濡化過程、親族關係、性別分工、權力與控制,和社會發展等角度,比較不同生產模式及社會組織中的女性及男性,從而了解文化如何影響人類群體的性別觀念及相關行為。
