Course Description
This course looks at the relationship between gender and culture, by
comparing women and men in societies with different modes of production
and social organization. Through analyzing their sex roles, enculturation
process, kinship, division of labour by sex, power and control, and
social development, students will understand how culture influences
the concept of gender and its related behaviour among human groups.
