Commenced in 1998, the MPhil Programme in Gender Studies at CUHK is Hong Kong’s first graduate programme in gender studies. Gender Studies is an interdisciplinary programme with a unifying focus on gender as a theoretical perspective or as a subject of analysis. Students who wish to pursue an MPhil degree in Gender Studies will be enrolled in and will take courses from the Gender Studies Programme as well as a subject discipline such as Anthropology,  Cultural and Religious Studies, Educational Administration and Policy, Japanese Studies, Psychology, Social Work, etc. Students may study full-time or part-time, subject to the final approval of the subject discipline.
