I. University Housing System
Accommodation
arrangements are being made for the Chinese University Guest House
System and Student Hostels. Rooms in the University Guest House
System and Student Hostels have been booked en bloc for the symposium
participants from June 17 to 25.
All registrations for University Housing should be done through
the secretariat. Full payment is required for University Housing
researvation upon registration. Deadline for Booking for University
Housing System is May 18, 2006.
Currently the rates for university
housing are as follows:

Rooms in University Hostels or University
Guest House are for twin occupancy (i.e. one room shared by two
persons). The fee is charged on per person per night basis or on
per room basis for single occupancy (i.e. you will have the whole
room to yourself). If the participant wishes to share a room, kindly
indicate the name of the person you wish to share your room with.
If
no name is provided, the secretariat will assign it for you.
Breakfast is not included in the
above rates. Breakfast is available in many cafeteria around the
campus. They are close to the hostels or the university guest houses.
Some are also close to the Conference venue, The Esther Lee Hall.
Cafeterias serving breakfast normally open at 7:45 AM.
All rooms in the University Housing
System are air-conditioned. University hostels will have shared
shower/toilet facilities. Each floor will have its pantry that is
equipped with micro-wave oven and hot plates. No major cooking facility
is available nor is cooking with open fire allowed. 
Each room in the University Guest
House System has private shower and toilet facilities. Some are
with small kitchen or pantry with micro-wave and hot-plate.
There should be enough rooms in the University Hostel System for
all participants. However, rooms in the University Guest House System
are very limited.Participants not interested in staying in the University
Hostel are encouraged to book their accommodations with the Symposium
Appointed Hotels.
Participants are requested to indicate their priority in terms
of preference to the different types of accommodations. Unless
otherwise indicated, if accommodation of your first choice is not
available, the Secretariat will book your accommodations based on
your next preference. You will be informed of any changes made.

Other Hotels Outside the University
Two hotels have offered to provide
rooms at 40% discounted rate to Symposium participants. Both are
luxurious hotels. The Royal Park Hotel is located in Shatin and
is accessible to the University by the KCR (Kowloon Canton Rail)
Train. Train
is normally running every 3 to 5 minutes and will take 7 minutes
to reach the University Train Station from the Shatin Train Station.
Royal Park Hotel is about 10 minutes (easy walk through shopping
malls) from the Shatin Train Station and University Train Station
is about 6 minutes (easy walk through campus) to the Conference
Venue, The Esther Lee Hall. The cost for each way of travel from
Shatin to the University is HK$ 4.0 (HK$ 3.70 if using Octopus Card).

Royal Park Hotel Reservation Form
The Kowloon Hotel is located in downtown Kowloon, at the heart
of Tsim Sha Tsui Shopping District. It is accessible to the University
also by the KCR Train.
From the Tsimshatsui East KCR station, about 10 minutes walk from
Kowloon hotel, it will take about 25 minutes to reach the University
KCR Station. The cost for each way is HK$ 9.0 (HK$ 8.50 if using
Octopus Card).
