Payment due date and fine for late payment of fees

In line with the environmental policy of the University to use less paper, no printed student fee debit notes (“fee note”) will be sent to students by post.  Instead, two weeks prior to the payment due date, the Donations and Projects Management Unit, Bursary (“DPU”) will send e-mails to notify the students that the fee notes have been issued. Students have to check their own Campus-Wide E-mail System (“CWEM”) mailbox and login Chinese University Student Information System (“CUSIS”) to enquire the details of the Online Debit Note.  Below is a tentative billing schedule for your reference:

3. Graduate School students :
a) Research Programme (Master)

b) Research Programme (Doctoral)

Fee notes will be issued every 6 months of study.
(If leave has been taken during the study period, issuance of next fee note will be deferred according to the length of leave taken.)

c) Taught Programme Please consult your Programme / Division in advance regarding the schedule for issuance of fee notes.
4. Part-time Undergraduate students
September
December
April

You are reminded to settle the outstanding amount of your student account before the payment due date. A fine of $200 will be levied for late payment.


Special Arrangement for Tuition Fee

Bursary will not normally effect any financial adjustment based on a notification of suspension of study/leave of absence from Graduate School.  If there is any recommendation whether the fee received/to be received, in full or in part, would be transferred to the next academic term, or if the student needs to / need not settle the outstanding fee at the time deferral of study is approved, Division Head should complete the form “Special Arrangement for Tuition Fee” and send to DPU, Bursary within 1 month of the approval of leave application.

Update student correspondence address for billing of student fee

For updating the correspondence address, students have to contact the following relevant offices or visit their relevant homepages (except Faculty of Education) for amendment.

Full-time and Part-time Undergraduates : Registration & Examinations Section
Postgraduates : Graduate School Office
Students of Postgraduate Diploma in Education : General Office of Faculty of Education

 

Payment Deferral

If students have financial difficulties to pay their fees, they may contact the following relevant offices to apply for deferred payment of fees.

Full-time Undergraduates : College Dean of Students' Office
Part-time Undergraduates : Office of Admissions and Financial Aid
Postgraduates : Programme Division
Students of Postgraduate Diploma in Education : General Office of Faculty of Education
For payment of Postgraduate Hall's hostel fee : General Office of Postgraduate Halls
