I forget my password. What should I do?
There are two types of system accounts for your company:
- Super-user account: for the system administration purpose only
- Sales-user account: for doing business such as viewing and submitting bids.
The procedures to obtain the password for Super-user account and Sales-user account are DIFFERENT:
- For supper-user account: you need to send email to Business Office of CUHK to obtain the new password.
- For sales-user account: you can follow the following steps
- Connect to the CU Tendering System.
- Login with superuser account.
- Choose ˇ§Userˇ¨ in Company Information menu.
- Choose ˇ§Password Resetˇ¨.
- Fill in the Searching Form to locate user.
- Click ˇ§User Codeˇ¨ to choose.
- Click ˇ§Submitˇ¨
- Done.

After typing the website address, why there is an error message and nothing to be displayed in my browser?
Usually, it is because your companyˇ¦s firewall has some settings which does not allow you to access to our website. In order to connect to the e-jing system, please ask your network/firewall administrator to configure your network so that it allows outbound TCP port 8443 connection to the e-jing server at man.aect.cuhk.edu.hk (137.189.95.227) for use with secure web page (HTTPS).

When I type in my user name and password, why I still cannot login?
In order to have a better security, passwords are designed to combine with different kinds of characters, which include LARGE capital letter and small capital letter.? Other symbols and numerical characters are also used.? You may need to make sure that you key in the right passwords.
For example, you need to be aware of:
- Small capital letter ˇ§lˇ¨ (L) and numeric ˇ§1ˇ¨ (one)
- ˇ§Sˇ¨ and ˇ§5ˇ¨
- ˇ§cˇ¨ and ˇ§Cˇ¨

My company has more than one salesperson; can I make more user account for each of my salesperson?
- Connect to the CU Tendering System.
- Login with superuser account.
- Choose ˇ§Userˇ¨ in Company Information menu.
- Choose ˇ§Createˇ¨.
- Fill in the User Information.
- Click ˇ§Submitˇ¨ button.
- Done.

Why do I need to categorize my company into certain specific industries? How can I do it?
Our system automatically sends emails to suppliers to inform them about new tenders. In order to make sure suppliers do not receive unnecessary emails, our system only inform related suppliers who belong to the same catalogue of the new tenders.
For example, if a supplier registered in some computer-related catalogues, he will only receive emails regarding CUˇ¦s computer equipment procurement. However, he will not receive emails regarding CUˇ¦s furniture procurement needs.
Suppliers are advised to keep the information about catalogue up-to-date.
To maintain the catalogue:
- Click ˇ§Catalogueˇ¨ on the menu.
- On left-hand side, a searching tool is provided to locate the catalogue. Result will shows out on the right-hand side. By checking the box of the record, those selected records will be marked. User can make another search.
After finish the updating, click Submit on the upper right corner. The information about catalogue will be updated.
