  1. Start Internet Explorer 6
  2. From the menu bar, click Tools -> Internet Options...
  3. From the Internet Options window, select Content tab and click Certificates...
  4. From the Certificates window, click Import... to invoke the Certificate Import Wizard.
  5. Click Next to continue.
  6. In the File name: input box, type the file location of your digital certificate, e.g. A:\digcert3.p12 and then click Next.
  7. In the Password: input box, type the password of your PKCS12 file and check the two options.
  8. Select the option: Automatically select the certificate store based on the type of certificate. Press Next.
  9. Click Finish to complete the certificate import and continue to set the security level.
  10. Then, an Importing a new private exchange key window is prompted. Click Set Security Level...
  11. Recommend to set security level to High only if they need to share the PC with others. Then, click Next.
  12. When the security level set to high, you need to type a new password to protect this item. Then, click Finish.
  13. Now, the security level is set. Click OK.
  14. If the CUHK Root CA root certificate has not added yet, system will prompt you to do so. Click Yes to proceed.
  15. The system will notify you The import was successful. Click OK.
  16. A new certificate entry is shown. Click Close to complete the process.
