H. Student Grant/ Loan

Graduate Travel Loan Fund
In order to assist graduating students who have been awarded scholarships, fellowships, and/or teaching assistantships but are financially hindered from going abroad to benefit from these grants, the College has established a travel loan fund through which students may obtain loans not exceeding HK$5,000 to cover part of their expenses. This interest-free loan should be returned wholly or by instalments within one year.

Student Loan Fund
An amount of fund is allocated by the College for providing students or student organizations with interest-free loans of up to HK$20,000 and emergency loan of up to HK$1,000 in accordance with need. Applications should be submitted to the Scholarships, Awards and Financial-aid Committee through the Dean of Studentsˇ¦ Office. Repayment has to be made within one year after graduation.

Undergraduate Travel Grant
The undergraduate travel grant is open in second term of each academic year. It provides financial assistance for Chung Chi students joining overseas programmes which are organized by the College.

Undergraduate Travel Loan
To encourage undergraduate students to attend international conferences/seminars, or participate in extra-curricular activities overseas, an interest-free undergraduate travel loan could be applied by students. The maximum Loan amount is HK$20,000, and the loan has to be repaid within one year after graduation.



I1. Student Helper Award Scheme

Students participating in this scheme will be given some award for assisting academic / administrative staff members with their projects. Interested students could apply for the scheme in September and January each year via online application system.

I2. Student Development Subsidy Scheme

Students who are going to participate in short-term, non credit-bearing, mainland and overseas activities which are organized or recognized by the College, Departments or the University , are eligible to apply this scheme. Successful applicants will receive subsidy up to 30% of his/her budget (expenditure minus income from other sources) or HK$10,000, whichever the lower. Application forms are obtainable from the Dean of Studentsˇ¦ Office.
