SLLW Visiting Fellows Programme

Introduction

The Siu Lien Ling Wong Visiting Fellow Programme is financed through the Siu Lien Ling Wong Visiting Fellows Endowment, generously donated to Chung Chi College by Mrs. Siu Lien Ling Wong in 1982 and 1992. In 2006 and 2015, in memory of Mrs. Wong, the family of Mrs. Wong further donated HK$1million and HK$500,000 respectively to the Endowment in support of the Visiting Fellows Programme.

According to the Programme, invitations are sent every year to an outstanding person in the fields of scholarship or cultural affairs to visit the College, normally for a period from one to two weeks during teaching terms. The Visiting Fellows are to give public lectures, to participate in discussion panels, and/or to be the main speakers in the College's Annual Education Conference. In addition, they are also to have informal discussions with staff and students of the College.

The purpose of the Siu Lien Ling Wong Visiting Fellows Programme is to promote academic and cultural interchange, to broaden the intellectual horizon of staff and student, and to enrich the learning environment of the College.
