Faculties and Departments
Students in the Colleges belong to either one of
the eight University Faculties - Arts, Business Administration, Education, Engineering,
Law, Medicine, Science or Social Science. There are 61 departments offering more than 54 major programmes and more than 46 minor programmes. Only Chung Chi College includes the subject of Music and Theology among the four Colleges in the University.
Admission and Academic Programmes
Eligibility for admission is conditional upon fulfilling the entrance requirements of the University or obtaining exemption under the provisions of the relevant regulations.
The teaching and examination programmes for student's major, minor and elective courses are organized by the University's departments.

Students
In academic year 2007/2008 Chung Chi College had a student enrolment of 2807 of whom 1256 were men and 1551
women. Most of the students were Hong Kong residents
and a small number of them were from mainland China
or overseas countries. In addition, there were some other
79 exchange students from abroad.
Extra-curricular Activities
Some of the students activities are organized by the Chung Chi College Student Union and student societies. Together they are responsible for many cultural, athletic and extra-curricular activities that serve to provide a social meeting ground for students from different hostels or faculties. During the Founders' Day celebrations, there are programmes like tug-of-war, round-campus-run, carnival, singing contest and Thousand People Feast etc.
The College's various offices and committees such as the Dean of Students' Office, the Chaplain's Office, the General Education Office and the Student Life Committee etc. also jointly organize activities for students. Such activities include seminars, workshops, opinion surveys, visit to institutions, Tolo Nocturne, Language Enhancement Programme, Student Visitor Programme, Summer Study Abroad Programme, Service-Learning Programme, Outward Bound Training Programme, Mentor Programme, Study Trips etc. |
