The Smoking (Public Health) (Amendment) Ordinance 2005 (Cap. 371) has been passed into law for implementation. Starting from January 1, 2007, the entire university campus (including indoor and outdoor areas), except certain exempt areas as defined by law, will be designed as a no smoking area in order to provide a fresh and healthy workplace, learning and living environment for staff, students and visitors.
