Service-Learning Programmes (Local, Mainland, International) (Website)

To inculcate a sense of community service in Chung Chi students, the College established three Service-Learning Programmes–Local, Mainland and International in 2000, 2004 and 2005 respectively. Through the Programmes, Chung Chi Students have chances to serve in social and community organizations in Hong Kong, Fengkai County in Guangdong Province, Mainland China, Japan, South Korea, The Philippines and Indonesia for three to six weeks in summer. The Programmes provide students with the opportunities to get in touch with different segments of the society, especially socially disadvantaged ones, thereby broadening their horizon and facilitating their personal growth. The local and mainland Service-Learning Programmes are designed to be part of the College General Education Senior Seminar course (GEC0413).
