大學圖書館擴建工程及位於富爾敦樓∕保安交通中心和中央道之停車位臨時重組安排

為配合將大學圖書館擴建工程的前期工作於2009年11月展開，位於大學圖書館及田家炳樓旁的停車場將於2009年10月24日（星期六）關閉，而擴建工程將會於第六十七屆大會（頒授學位典禮）後立即動工。此外，位於富彌敦樓∕保安交通中心旁的停車場將會進行重組，增加50個停車位，令停車位總數不受影響。重組工程將會分兩個階段進行，第一階段工程包括新停車位位置編排將於2009年10月初進行，而其後的第二階段，有關工程細則將由物業管理處公佈。

隨著大學圖書館擴建工程進行，位於中央道上的停車位亦會移至靠右位置。有關安排的道路指示將會在各處張貼供道路使用者查閱。上述安排的詳細位置請參考下圖。

CONSTRUCTION OF UNIVERSITY LIBRARY EXTENSION AND TEMPORARY RE-ORGANIZATION OF CAR PARKING SPACES AT JOHN FULTON / SECURITY & TRANSPORT BUILDING AND CENTRAL AVENUE

To cater for the preparation works for the construction of the University Library Extension to be commenced in November 2009, the open car park adjacent to the Main Library and Tin Ka Ping Building will be closed starting from 24 October 2009 (Saturday). The full scale construction of the University Library Extension will be commenced immediately after the 67th Congregation for the Conferment of Degrees.

To compensate for the loss of car parking spaces, the open car parks at John Fulton Centre and Security & Transport Building will be reorganized to increase about 50 spaces. Works will be carried out at the two car parks in two phases. The Phase 1 will involve marking of new parking, which will be carried out in early October 2009 and Phase 2 thereafter with detail programme will be notified later by the Estates Management Office.

With the commencement of construction works for the Library Extension, the road side parking along the Central Avenue will also be relocated to the right hand side of the carriageway. Road signs will be posted at various locations. For details of the above arrangement, please refer to the drawings below.
