鞏固逸夫書院網球場和新亞書院人民館附近的斜坡 ( 斜坡編號 F2, F50, F203, URF5 及 F109)

為確保校園內斜坡安全，經大學校園岩土事務委員會審議批准，大學為位於士林三巷近逸夫書院網球場和新亞坊近新亞書院人民館的斜坡進行鞏固工程。工程在 2007年3月動工，並已於 2008年5月完成。工程主要包括安裝泥釘，將表面不穩固泥土清除及回填。 經校園景觀美化委員會的審核及批准，位於逸夫書院網球場附近的斜坡已清理 10棵樹木、移植1棵樹木、加種26棵新樹及植草，以美化斜坡。

SLOPE STABILIZATION NEAR SHAW COLLEGE TENNIS COURT AND NEW ASIA CIRCLE (FEATURES F2, F50, F203, URF5 AND F109)

Being carefully considered at the Standing Committee on Campus Geotechnical Matters meeting for a safe environment for the University community, approval has been given to commence the slope stability improvement works for the captioned features locating at Residence Lane 3 near Shaw College Tennis Court and New Asia Circle near New Asia College Humanities Building . Relevant construction works have been commenced in March 2007 and completed in May 2008. It mainly involves soil nailing, removing the loose soil and compaction with backfilling.

As approved by the Campus Landscaping Enhancement Committee, 10 trees have been removed and 1 transplanted at slopes near Shaw College Tennis Court . To enhance the greenery after the works, 26 trees have been planted and the slope will be covered with shrubs and grasses upon completion.
