This course offers a survey of Chinese art in the 20th century. From Guohua °ęµe to the realist and modernist trends of the first half of the century and the art of the Maoist era, this course will also cover artworks from contemporary artists of the Mainland, Taiwan and of Diaspora which will be presented in their historical and social contexts.
