Professional Development Course for Teaching Assistants 2011
Research students with teaching duties are required to complete professional development programme offered by CLEAR or other comparable programmes recognised by her/his own department.
The CLEAR Professional Development Programme for TA comprises three parts. In order to fulfil the university's requirements of professional development, TA are required to complete Part I to Part III of the programme.
Part I (within each Department)
How to run tutorials/ How to supervise laboratory work
(with sharing sessions from Experience TAs from the departments)
Part II (from IPL course - at least one must be chosen)
Departments assess students on their presentation and teaching skills by means of individual presentations, seminars or class observation.
Registration
Part I - TA will be registered through their own department.
