New teaching
and learning software is constantly being developed or upgraded with
enhanced usability and capabilities that may have the potential of further
supporting teaching and learning.
The 'Support for innovative eLearning
strategies' project aims to introduce these latest eLearning strategies
to the University community. We are not only interested in the technical
and functional aspects of these innovative strategies, but we are also,
and perhaps are even more, interested in the teaching and learning benefits
these latest technologies might bring.
We, therefore, host a range of innovative technologies
and would like to invite pioneering teachers to use the functions of
these new tools in their teaching.
Tools you
can access now:
- LAMS@CUHK: LAMS is a tool that
supports topic and lesson planning, and the management of learning
activities. These activities can be online, face-to-face, or a mixture
of both.
Other Tools
under evaluation:
- Tools that support collaborative media-rich learning environment
(e.g. the open source Gallery,
and Mediawiki)
- Tools that assist the building of student portfolios which facilitate
demonstration of and reflection on learning progress (e.g. the open
source Portfolio)
We
would welcome any comments on the now-available or the potential innovative
eLearning tools. Please contact Paul
