Making group work work (Round 2) - English

Speaker: Professor Will Ng
Centre for Learning Enhancement And Research, The Chinese University of Hong Kong

Detail: Teachers tend to love group projects for their many benefits. While students may or may not like group projects, most have bad experience with poor organization, conflicts, and moral hazards (e.g. free-riders). This workshop welcomes teachers with experience in group projects (as instructor or student) to reflect on their practices and how group projects may be better facilitated and managed.

As a case study, the facilitator will give detail presentation of the development of a project course (in product design), with a "structured process" rich in group work and role playing, that seems to work well.

Language: English

Date & Time: 26 Nov 2015 (Thu) 2:30pm - 4:30pm
