Flipped Classroom Approach Seminar: Digitized & Socialized Learning in An Inverted Classroom



Description: In this seminar, two experienced speakers, Prof. Juergen Handke from the University of Marburg, Germany and Prof. Mathew Pryor from the University of Hong Kong, will share their tips and strategies in implementing the flipped classroom approach. Prof. Handke will introduce an integrative model of digitization in assessment and in-class collaborations; while Prof. Pryor is going to present a teaching development initiative that looks to promote socialized learning within a large-sized flipped classroom.

Speakers: Prof. Juergen Handke: Professor, Department of English and American Studies, The University of Marburg, Germany - Awardee of the highest Hessian Teaching and Learning Award (2013) and the highest German teaching award - Ars Legendi Prize for Digital Teaching and Learning (2015).

Prof. Mathew Pryor: Head, Division of Landscape Architecture & Associate Professor (Teaching), The University of Hong Kong - Awardee of a HKU Teaching Excellence Team Award (2018), HKU Teaching Excellence Award (2012), and Faculty of Architecture Outstanding Teaching Award (2017).
