HEA Fellowship Writing Workshops

Description: Centre for Learning Enhancement And Research (CLEAR) will organize two one-day HEA Fellowship writing workshops. The two parallel one-day workshops scheduled to take place from April 1 to 2 2019 consists of both workshops and hands-on writing sessions, to be delivered by Prof Abby Cathcart (PFHEA), Director of the Academy of Learning and Teaching of Queensland University of Technology (QUT). The workshops are intended to support teaching staff of CUHK to be recognized as HEA Fellows.

Speaker: Prof Abby Cathcart (PFHEA), Director of the QUT Academy of Learning and Teaching. She has worked at QUT since 2007 and was a Professor of Work and Organisation in QUT Business School until 2018 when she became a senior staff member in the Learning and Teaching Unit. Professor Cathcart has won multiple awards for her teaching including the inaugural David Gardiner Teacher of the Year Medal (2014) and three national Australian Awards for University Teaching. Professor Cathcart is Head of the QUT Academy of Learning and Teaching, a portfolio which includes Student Evaluation, the Higher Education Research Network, Expert Peer Review of Educational Practice, Awards and Grants, and facilitating professional recognition by the Higher Education Academy for QUT staff members. Since 2014 more than 500 staff members have successfully been recognised as HEA Fellows.

Fellowship writing workshop (II)
Date: 2 April 2019 (Tue)
Time: 9:30am – 3:30pm (lunch break from 12:30 to 1:30 pm)
Venue: 6/F Conference Room, ELITE, Hui Yeung Shing Building

Remarks:
  • The two workshops will cover the same topics; please register for either one of the workshops.
  • Each workshop can accommodate a maximum of 20 participants.
  • Successful registration will be confirmed via email.
  • Please bring your notebook/portable device with you to the workshop.
