Co-organised by CLEAR and ITSC, this information session aims to explore new eAssessment solutions in response to the current circumstances in Hong Kong society and the uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus outbreak.
Gradescope is a tool for remote assessments which helps teachers grade exams and homework more easily and faster while providing feedback to their students effectively. In this webinar, Anna and her team from Turnitin are invited to give a demonstration on its features and show how it can assist teachers on their assessment work. Interested parties are welcome to participate in the session and help us evaluate its usefulness. To learn more about the features, please see below:
Answer grouping: Users can create groups of similar answers and grade all answers in the group simultaneously, for any question type.
AI-assisted Grading: This will automatically generate groups of answers for users, which cuts grading time by 75% or more. This is currently available for multiple choice, fill-in-the-blank math, and fill-in-the-blank text answers.
Typed text annotations: Users can type comments in text-boxes, directly on students’ submissions.
The ability to import rubrics from past courses on users’ account.
Bubble sheet assignments: With bubble sheet assignments, users can define the correct answers for multiple choice exams using an answer key. Gradescope can then grade the students’ multiple choice responses automatically.
Programming assignments: Gradescope supports automated and manual evaluation of programming assignments, including real-time feedback and in-line commenting.
