Performance in the classroom
Facilitator: Professor Keith THOMAS
Associate Professor of Centre for Learning Enhancement And Research, The Chinese University of Hong Kong

Detail: This session will begin with an interactive lecture about setting and managing student expectations to ensure an optimal learning environment. We will explore some of the pedagogical and psychosocial factors in building ‘student engagement’. The latter part of the workshop will be a practical peer review: all participants will be invited to prepare and present a 10-minute opening presentation on a topic of their choice. As a result attendees will need to come prepared with a subject and some relevant resources (PowerPoint or otherwise) developed prior to the workshop. Prizes (chocolates) will be awarded.
