Mapping student characteristics
Facilitator: Professor Paul LAM
Centre for Learning Enhancement And Research, The Chinese University of Hong Kong

Students differ in their approaches to learning, motivation to learn, preferred learning styles, views about knowledge and learning, self-learning readiness and competence in learning skills. Many of these characteristics impact on learning. In the workshop we will discuss the nature of many of these learner characteristics, how to identify them in your students, and the implications this diversity has for your teaching.
