Detail: University teaching is not merely the delivery of factual knowledge from teachers to students but should focus more on facilitating students’ understanding of knowledge and their ability to apply knowledge into real situations. Participants will consider the goals of university education and reflect on their own achievements. They will also chart their own approaches to learning, and consider the sorts of teaching and learning strategies that maximize a deep approach to learning.

Remark: All are welcome to join this workshop. This workshop is a required (core) session ....for teachers who choose the cumulative option (a combination of core and elective seminars, and workshops) to complete the Professional Development Course (PDC) ‘Becoming an Excellent Teacher’.
