Research

Research Interests
Current research interests include evaluation of innovation in higher education, strategies for embedding learning support into the curriculum, and understanding the broader implementation of the use of technology in higher education. Some recent relevant projects, funded by the Australian Government in the late 1990s, are:

PI: Development of a national inventory of computer-based learning and support materials used in university teaching.
Co-I: Staff development in evaluation of technology-based teaching development projects
Co-I: Academics' educational conceptions and the design and impact of computer software in higher education.
She is on the editorial board of 13 international journals and is a regular reviewer for many journals. She has presented 22 Keynote addresses at international conferences. She is Chair of the ED-MEDIA Conference Steering Committee, run by the Association for the Advancement of Computers in Education; and Program Committee member of several international conferences each year.
