Project Objectives

The eLearning Service was set up as a result of a study of the state of eLearning at CUHK in 2004. The overall aim was to set up an institutionalized eLearning Service. This has been achieved. The service was designed to be evolving and multi-faceted.

Evaluation of outcomes

Work was done in the areas:
1) platforms, 2) support services, 3) seminars and workshops, 4) courseware development, 5) promotion, and 6) research on new strategies and technologies.

All aspects were evaluated.

  • Obviously, systems performance and courseware development have inbuilt evaluation – they need to operate functionally.
  • Feedback was collected on events and consultations.

  • Data is recorded in 18 publications and other reports.

    Dissemination of results & deliverables

    • 18 publications.
    • Others papers are in progress.
    • Conference and invited presentations have occurred in Austria, Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, South Africa, Singapore, Spain, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and the United States.
    • The successful annual Expo event is a dissemination event established by the eLearning Service http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/eLearning/expo/
