Project Objectives

  • To promote the concept of student-centred learning with frontline examples; and
  • To support the frontline General Education Foundation (GEF) teachers and related professionals in adopting student-centred approaches.
  • Key deliverables expected and timelines for completion

    Phase 1 (Mar-Aug 2013):
    The major deliverables include a survey tool for collecting teachers’ feedback on teaching and a brief report on the findings in Phase 1.

    Phase 2 (Sep 2013-Feb 2014):
    The major deliverables include the final report and seminars on the findings of the project.

    Arrangements for evaluation of project deliverables/outcomes

    Comments on these deliverables will be collected from student focus groups and teacher focus groups. A questionnaire will be given to GEF teachers and interested teachers from departments for the evaluation of the deliverables when necessary.

    Means for disseminating project deliverables/outcomes

    Good teaching practices that enhance student-centred learning will be compiled into a booklet. Seminars on these practices will be conducted. The deliverables will be disseminated online and through seminars.
