Project Objectives

The project aims to expand the education of a student during their architectural design studio studies, with a globalized and networked studio teaching-learning strategy. The project will test and create a pilot design studio project in collaboration with architects and critics, using a customized website platform interface to benefit student learning and teacher interface.

Key deliverables expected and timelines for completion

Stage 1: Building and testing concepts of this project within Hong Kong, along with key architects, HK professional experts and international advisors. Designing the website, fine-tuning the roles and people involved in this architecture masters level design studio to create the pilot project.

Stage 2: A comprehensive website ‘site plan’, sections and hierarchies organized. Invite key universities to collaborate, share, test and join to support the design brief and topic on communities and sustainable architecture. The website will adapt and expand with the interface.

Stage 3: Share the findings amongst the students and collaborators in the studio and open up to public the final designed website interface and template for future use.

Arrangements for evaluation of project deliverables/outcomes

The project will conduct a self-evaluation mechanism and survey feedback from all participants to workshops, design studio employing feedback for review, quantitative assessment and documentation. Milestone outputs and measures will be defined in this teaching/learning innovation and technology to help with architectural studio curriculum and other potential creative disciplines for future use.

Means for disseminating project deliverables/outcomes

Project outcome and website platform will be shared to collaborators and institutions for future use. Findings amongst the students and collaborators in the studio will be documented and disseminated in potential symposium and educational exchange institutions for knowledge sharing.
