The Chinese University of Hong Kong is committed to the promotion of the exchanges between Eastern and Western cultures. It has established some courses related to Catholic Studies since its founding. In 2005, with a generous donation from the Catholic Diocese of Hong Kong, a Centre for Catholic Studies was established at the Department of Cultural and Religious Studies, to further develop Catholic Studies at the University.
