內 容

《謝靈運集逐字索引》是中國文化研究所繼《先秦兩漢古籍逐字索引叢刊》後另一製作，屬於《魏晉南北朝古籍逐字索引叢刊》計畫第一輯的第一本書。這套《魏晉叢刊》由香港中文大學中國文化研究所劉殿爵教授、陳方正博士、何志華教授主編，本社分階段出版，首三輯索引共二十四冊，主要為子部及別集類文獻。

魏晉南北朝繼承兩漢，下啟隋唐，歷三百七十年，為我國歷史上較長的分裂時期。此一時期各民族互相融合，文化彼此交流，哲學思想絢爛多姿；儒學、玄學、道教並興，又加之佛教東傳，文化思想發展蓬勃，出現了不少傑出的思想家、文學家、史學家，為日後盛唐文化奠定深厚基礎。魏晉南北朝文學作品，尤其別集類文獻繁多，文辭雋永，風格多變，治學者常感難於董理。此套「逐字索引」仍將以原書之每字為目，下列所有曾出現該字之句子，並附該字出現的次數，和有關句子出現之章次、頁次及行次，因此，有助學者掌握六朝原始文獻資料，從而進行更高層次之學術研究工作。

《謝靈運集逐字索引》將原書約近三萬五千字，整理出合共一百多條文獻校改紀錄，當中舉凡異文、訛誤或增刪改正一律詳加記錄，務求讓讀者掌握更多資料，理解文獻內容時亦事半功倍。

編者簡介

劉殿爵教授(Prof. D. C. Lau)早歲肄業於香港大學中文系，嗣赴蘇格蘭格拉斯哥大學攻讀西洋哲學，畢業後執教於倫敦大學達二十八年之久，一九七八年應邀回港出任香港中文大學中文系講座教授。劉教授於一九八九年榮休，隨即出任中國文化研究所榮譽教授至今。劉教授興趣在哲學及語言學，以準確嚴謹的態度翻譯古代典籍，其中《論語》、《孟子》、《老子》三書之英譯，已成海外研究中國哲學必讀之書。

陳方正博士(Dr. Chen Fong Ching)，一九六二年哈佛大學(Harvard)物理學學士，一九六四年拔蘭大學(Brandeis)理學碩士，一九六六年獲理學博士，隨後執教於香港中文大學物理系，一九八六年任中國文化研究所所長至今。陳博士一九九零年創辦學術文化雙月刊《二十一世紀》，致力探討中國文化之建設。

何志華教授(Prof. Ho Che Wah)，一九八六年香港中文大學中國語言及文學系文學士，一九八八年哲學碩士，一九九五年哲學博士；現任中國語言及文學系助理教授；何教授興趣在古籍校讎學，已發表之著作包括《淮南子高誘注校釋》、《呂氏春秋高誘注校釋》、《高誘引禮考》、《高誘用詩考》、《出土文子新證》等論文多篇。

The extant Chinese texts from the Wei-Jin and the Northern and Southern Dynasties (220-89 AD) constitute the backbone of the sources of medieval Chinese culture. To facilitate the academic studies of the periods, the Institute of Chinese Studies of The Chinese University of Hong Kong started the project "The Computerized Database of the Entire Body of Extant Wei-Jin and the Northern and Southern Dynasties Traditional Chinese Text" in 1991. Undertaken by Professor D. C. Lau, Dr. F. C. Chen and Professor Ho Che-wah, the project involves compiling more than 800 works with over 24 million characters and transferring them into electronic form. The database truly presents the rich cultural heritage of the periods.

Upon the completion of the data compilation and input in 1996, the project has proceeded to another phase—the publication of the data in book form. ICS Concordances to Works of Wei-Jin and the Northern and Southern Dynasties are developed on the basis of the computerized database and will be published by The Chinese University Press. The first three series, consisting of twenty-four volumes of philosophical and collected works by eminent scholars and writers of the Six Dynasties, are available now.
