Create Streaming Media file using RealProducer

The RealProducer is a free tool to create Real Media files. You can download it from the RealNetworks. After the file is downloaded, you need to run the setup program and follow instructions to install RealProducer into your machine. Then you are ready to produce streaming media files.

Steps to produce Real media file:

Step 1
After installation, start the Recording Wizard, double click the icon RealProducer.
Enter the full path and the filename of your source media file on the Input file field, or click Browse button to choose file.

Step 2
Click Clip Information button.



Enter the Title, Author, and Copyright Information of the source file.



Step 3
Click Audiences button to edit properties.



To keep a balance between still image and motion image, select Normal Motion Video in Video mode option under Encoding Settings. Also, choose appropriate connection speed in Audience Selection for your target audience. Then, a single file of streaming video/audio clip will be produced. (For example, a video / audio clip for 56K Dial-up to 150K LAN is produced, as illustrated below).



Step 4
Double click the file name under Destination to save as another name and location. An extension .rm (abbrevation of RealMedia) will be assigned to the name of the file.



Step 5
Click Encode button to convert the source file into .rm streaming format.



Step 6
Click Play button to play back the converted file.


Your Real Media file has been created successfully.
