Create Streaming Media file using Winmeida Encoder

The Windows Media Encoder is a free tool to create Windows Media files. You can download it from Microsoft. After the file is downloaded, you need to run the setup program and follow instructions to install Windows Media Encoder into your machine. Then you are ready to produce streaming media files.

Steps to produce Windows Media file:

Step 1
After installation, start the Recording Wizard, double click the icon Windows Media Encoder .

Start a new sesssion and choose Convert a file.

Step 2
Enter the full path and the filename of your source and output media file on the Source file field and Output file field respectively, or click Browse button to choose file.



Step3
Choose a content distribution method..



Step 4
Choose the encoding settings for your video, audio content and the bit rate.



Step5
Enter the Title, Author, Copyright, Rating and Description for your media file.



Step 6
Click Finish to encode the source file.



Step 7
Click Play Output File button to play back the converted file.


Your Windows Media file has been created successfully.
