Essential requirements for student helpers:

• Willing and able to learn new technical concepts and tasks
• Enjoy working and meeting with people
• Familiarity with Windows NT/98, MS Office, and the Internet
• Individual initiative and responsibility is necessary
• A commitment to work for the whole project is required

Preferable requirements for student helpers assisting in courseware development:

1. Skills in creating course content in WebCT.

• Experience in using PowerPoint and MSWord
• Basic knowledge on editing html file
• Familiarity with WinZip

2. Skills in creating interactive course materials.

• Familiarity with Macromedia Dreamweaver/Flash/Director
• Experience in using graphics tools like Photoshop, CorelDraw and etc.
  
• Basic knowledge on Javascript

3. Skills in producing streaming video/audio content.

• Experience in using video/audio editing tools (e.g. Adobe Premiere/SoundForge)
  
• Knowledge on video/audio compression codec (e.g. AVI, RM, RA, WAV and MP3)
• Basic knowledge on SMIL
