FAQ

FAQ on Course Migration

Q.

I'm confused about roles defined by the tabs "Build", "Teach" and "Student View".

A.

The Build tab contains the tools and options a course desginer would need in order to build or design a course. Under the Build tab, a course designer can, for example, upload files, add new tools (or components of tools), change tool or item properties or design the layout of a course.

Back

The Teach tab contains the tools and functions a course instructor might need in order to teach or conduct a course. Under the Teach tab, instructors can, for example, grade Assessments, Discussion Board message and Assignment submissions, set up the Grade Book, manage groups and track students.
Teach tab
The Student View tab is a view of the course as experienced by a student enrolled in the course. Unlike WebCT older version, the Student View in WebCT 6 is exact. Not only can an instructor see a course as a student would under the Student View tab, but he or she would also be able to take quizzes and view the Grade Book as a student would.
