Job Openings for Economists

CHONNAM NATIONAL UNIVERSITY(CNU), Gwangju, Korea

Department of Economics invites applications for full-time position at the lecturer level (less than 2-year teaching or working experience, 2-year base contract) or assistant professor level (more than 2-year teaching or working experience, 4-year base contract) starting from September 2006 or March 2007. All economics fields are possible, but candidates should have a Ph.D. in economics and be English native speaker. Teaching or working experience in the fields would be an advantage. The Salary will be approximately 3~4 million Korean won ($3,000~4,000) per month (for 12 months), depending on qualifications under the CNU employment regulations. Teaching duties will be 9~10 hours per week. Housing (furnished one bedroom on Campus apartment) and private office with LAN connected computer will be provided. Applicants should send their CV and current research work, two letters of recommendation, proof of employment (if currently employed), and teaching evaluation (if available) by August 31, 2006. A review of candidates will begin immediately until the position is filled.
