The Faculty of Art enjoys a unique reputation for bringing together eastern and western cultures and learning. It effects dialogue within the humanities and pioneers research approaches across disciplines. Its 11 departments offer major and minor programmes leading to a Bachelor of Arts degree and all aiming to foster understanding of the humanities and nurture future leaders for Hong Kong. The Faculty is staffed by world-renowned scholars and literati, including David Faure, Simon Haines, Hsiung Ping-chen, Leo O.F. Lee, Leung Yuen-sang, Poo Mu-chou, Shun Kwong-loi, Jenny F. So, William S.Y. Wang, Laurence K.P. Wong, Zhao Zhenkai (Bei Dao) and many others.
