Globalization of the world economy creates an increasingly high demand for well-educated professionals with a strong global business sense and international perspective. In response to the demand, three prestigious business schools in Asia, Europe and the USA joined to create an unprecedented programme – Global Learning Opportunities in Business Education (GLOBE).  With a limited admission quota of 15, GLOBE has admitted the most elite group of students in Hong Kong.

[20th June 2008] Information for 2008 JUPAS Applicants

Thank you for your interest in Global Business Studies (GBS) at CUHK.  This year all JUPAS applicants who have fulfilled ALL of the following conditions will be granted an individual interview on 15 July 2008 (Tue)

(A1) C grade or above in Chinese and English in HKALE or (A2) level 4 or above in Chinese and English in HKCEE, and

(B) A grade in at least 3 subjects in HKALE (both AL and ASL, including languages, will be counted), and

(C1) Get 100 or higher (IBT) or 250 or higher (CBT) in TOEFL or (C2) Level 7 or above in IELTS, and

(D) Put GBS (4214) as one of your Band A choices, preferably first choice.

Please be reminded that you should possess the language requirement stated in (C1) or (C2) before the interview.  If you have the results now, please send a soft copy of your report to globe@cuhk.edu.hk.

In this Historical and Industrial Tour, GLOBE students visited Korea Tourism Organization,
Samsung Electronics Company, Pohang Iron and Steel Company and Samsung Shipbuilding Company. They
understood how the history, national spirit, culture and economic situations of Korea affect business decision
