[16th Jan 2009] Heart to Heart Talk for GLOBE Students by Mr. Edward Leung

On 5 January 2009, the first day of Term 2, 2008-09, a Heart to Heart talk and a welcome dinner were organized for the 75 GLOBE students and some secondary school students.

Mr. Edward Leung, Chief Economist of Hong Kong Trade Development Council, was invited to deliver a talk on the topic “Globalization – Hong Kong’s Threats and Opportunities”. He shared his valuable insights and exchanged views with GLOBE students on globalization.

Before the dinner started, Professor T.J. Wong, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, CUHK welcomed the 30 GLOBE students from Copenhagen Business School (CBS) and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) who are going to study Asian business practices in Hong Kong. Professor Wong also welcomed back our Year 2 and Year 3 students who have recently returned home after one-semester exchange at CBS and UNC respectively.
