The Chinese University is always on the forefront
to promote sustainable development. It recognizes the participation
of the whole University in building a green campus. To further
promote environmental education, the University appointed over
100 energy coordinators in different units.
These energy coordinators are responsible for
promoting energy conservation knowledge to colleagues and students,
and helping to raise energy efficiency in the campus. They attended
an energy wise workshop which introduced the energy saving measures
adopted by the University. They also

learnt how to reduce the
use of electricity in workplace in order to save resources and
protect the environment.
Mrs Louisa Chan from the University Health Service
is one of the energy coordinators. She said, “I make sure the
lights and computers are turned off before I leave the office.
I also tell my colleagues the importance to turn knowledge into
actions and habits. That's how we can protect the environment
in our daily lives.”
