Hiking Season Has Come
CUHK campus is widely acclaimed for its beautiful campus, set in a scenic natural environment. Here, we recommend three hiking routes starting from the University KCR Station. Staff and students can have a pleasant journey with families and friends for fitness and relaxation.
Tips for hikers:
Choose a suitable route according to your strengthen and ability.
People suffering from chronic illness such as heart disease or asthma should consult a doctor first.
Warm up before starting off.
Do not go hiking if the weather is bad, too hot, or during rainstorm.
In summer, wear cotton clothes that absorb perspiration and allow circulation of air. Wear warm clothes in winter. Walk in comfortable sports shoes.
Bring along a sun cap, umbrella or wind-breaker in case the weather changes.
Wear light-colored, long-sleeved clothes and trousers to prevent mosquito bites.
Bring adequate water.
Stop and rest along the way.
Keep away from cliff edge. Don't climb onto rocks.
Dispose of rubbish properly.
Don't smoke as this may cause fire.
