* (Payable at first registration and returnable at the termination of students' studies, subject to no claim being outstanding; the balance of this deposit is normally transferred to be payment of the Graduation fee)

- For newly admitted students, normally the tuition fee should be paid within two weeks from the
date of the admission notification.
- For research postgraduate programmes, if students have to continue studies or submit the
  thesis after the Normative Study Period will be put on continuing status and will be required to pay tuition fees. Those who have completed all course requirements (including submission of thesis) but cannot pass the IT Proficiency Test within the Normative Study Period have to pay the Late Examination Fee for IT Proficiency Test as well. The fee level is $500 per term.
- For taught postgraduate programmes, if students have to continue studies after the Normative
  Study Period will be put on continuing status and will be required to pay tuition fees, unless otherwise specified by the Programme concerned. Those who have completed all course requirements but cannot pass the IT Proficiency Test within the Normative Study Period have to pay the Late Examination Fee for IT Proficiency Test as well. The fee level is $500 per term.
- The tuition fee for non-local student studying UGC-funded taught postgraduate programme is
  HK$ 80,000 per annum in 2007-08.
