An outbreak of H5N1 avian influenza among ducks was reported in Jiangmen, Guangdong yesterday. In view of the confirmed avian influenza case, the Food and Health Bureau imposed a 21-day ban on imports of poultry and pet birds within 13km of the infected area. New domestic cases on avian flu in poultry were reported on 7 June 2008 in 5 samples of 3 chicken stalls in Po On Road Market in Sham Shui Po.
