Any University staff or student who consider themselves possible "close contacts"* of a SARS patient and are suffering from fever or respiratory or other symptoms should come to UHS for medical advice. (Please refer to ‘General Information on SARS’ and ‘UHS Criteria for Medical Screening for SARS’ on this webpage).
Anybody who feels (or is confirmed by the UHS) that they are having a fever but has never come into contact with a SARS patient will be arranged at designated area to minimize the transmission of infection.
Please call UHS on 26096439 and state your request. We will arrange for you a special consultation session.
*‘Close contacts’ are persons who have lived with and have cared for a SARS patient; or those who have had come into contact with the respiratory secretions and body fluids of a person confirmed or suspected of having SARS in the last 10 days.
