- Even if you don't have a fever, if you have developed respiratory symptoms, you should consult a doctor (eg. UHS).
- Sick persons should follow instructions given by their doctor, including the use of drug prescriptions and taking adequate rest.
- Adhere to good personal hygiene practices.
- Patients should put on masks to reduce the chance of spreading the infection to other persons around you.
- Persons caring for you should also put on masks to reduce the chance of acquiring infection through the airways.
- Based on severity of symptoms, take sick leave as appropriate. If you have only mild respiratory symptoms e.g. cough, but is otherwise fit for work, you should put on a surgical mask at work.
- Follow the Good Hygiene Practices and the Guidelines issued by the Centre for Health Protection, which can be found on the internet at http://www.chp.gov.hk.
