Creative Partner, MK2 Communication
Writing is Kasey Lin’s first
love. As a history student at the CUHK, he has been
contributing articles to various publications.
After graduation, Kasey spent four years as Editor
of City Magazine before he found his second love,
advertising. He joined the Ball Partnership as a
Copywriter and worked on a wide variety of accounts
like Toshiba, Hong Kong Bank, City Chain and World
Gold Council. He left as Creative Group Head after
five years and joined DMB&B as Associate Creative
Director, handling accounts like Hyatt
International, Hennessy and Euro Motors (Saab/Opel).
He left after two years and in
the following years worked for JWT, Saatchi &
Saatchi, Batey Ads, and Oglivy & Mather as Creative
Director, serving a long list of high profile
accounts: Citibank, De Beers, Ford, Toyota, The
Peninsula Group, British Airways, Ericsson, Sheraton
and Visa International.
In 1998, Kasey joined Citicon as
Creative Partner. Since then, the small creative hot
shop has developed from being a Direct Marketing
agency to a full service advertising agency, with a
substantial billing increase of 250% in just a year.
Kasey has created a lot of
successful advertising campaigns and has won
numerous local and international awards: The Kam Fan
(best of the best) Award in Hong Kong, The Times
Award in Taiwan, The Mobius Award in Chicago, The
New York Festival Award and The Clio Award in New
York.
Kasey Lin has always been active in promoting
advertising and mass communications, and is a
frequent guest speaker in the local universities.
