Study Scheme


Students are required to complete a minimum of 66 units of courses as follows:

(1)

Required Courses:

HIST10011 (or HIS11031), 10022 (or HIS11042), 2001 (or HIS1105), 2002 (or HIS1106)

Elective Coursesกต:

Students are required to select and complete 54 units of History courses in addition to the required courses listed in (1) above.

กตStudents may select up to 12 units (4 courses) offered by the Department of Anthropology (ANTH2310, 2340, 2520, 3430) as elective courses.

ANTH3430 Cultures of Chinese Overseas
   
(a)
History Major students taking the four commonly recognized ANTH courses in fulfilling the History Major requirement should declare their interests of towards which course(s) to be counted at their final term of attendance.
(b)
Units counted towards the fulfilment of History Major requirements should not be counted towards the fulfilment of the requirements of Minor Programmes in History, Cultural Heritage Studies, or Anthropology, and vice versa.
(c) Credits to be included in the Major GPA for degree classification assessment.
