Introduction

The Department of History of The Chinese University of Hong Kong was the first institute to introduce the M.A. Programme in Comparative and Public History. The programme has been well received both locally and overseas. Continuing with this theme and in an effort to allow for greater flexibility and access to studying public history, the Department will offer a new Advanced Diploma Programme in History, Heritage and Museum Studies in January 2008.
