Minor Programme in Cultural Heritage Studies

Minor Programme in History

Students are required to complete a minimum of 15 units of courses, including HIS 1103¹or 1104².

Notes:	¹	Those students who have passed the Chinese History subject with credit (C or above) in HKCEE, or HKALE (AS/AL) may be exempted, by application to the Department, from this requirement by taking any other 3-unit History course.
	²	Those students who have passed the World History subject with credit (C or above) in HKCEE, or HKALE (AS/AL) may be exempted, by application to the Department, from this requirement by taking any other 3-unit History course.

*Only applicable to students admitted on the strength of HKALE results.

Minor Programme in Cultural Heritage Studies

Students who choose to take this Minor Programme are required to complete at least 15 units of courses as follows:

(1)	Required courses:			3 units

	HIS1105	History and Historian (Introductory)	3 units

	HIS3420	Introduction to Qualitative and Quantitative Methods in Public: Oral History: Methods and Practices	3 units

	ANT2730	Preserving Cultural Heritage	3 units

	ANT2760	China's Cultural Heritage	3 units
	One of these four courses may be taken as an elective course counted towards the fulfillment of 12 units of elective courses listed below.

Note:

Units of HIS courses counted towards the fulfillment of the requirements of the Minor Programme in Cultural Heritage Studies should not be counted towards the fulfillment of the requirements of History Major or History Minor Programme. Units of ANT courses counted towards the fulfillment of the requirements of the Minor Programme in Cultural Heritage Studies should not be counted towards the fulfillment of the requirements of Major Programme in Anthropology or the Minor Programme in Anthropology.
