Annual
Gender Role Workshops
Since
1991, the Gender Research Programme has hosted an annual "Gender
Roles Workshop". The Workshop serves as a link between the academia
and the community. Each Workshop will focus on a gender topic of
significance to the community.
The
Workshop provides a forum for academics to present research findings, for
government officials to explain their policies, for service agencies to
review their services and areas of needs, and for grass-root women's
groups to voice their concerns. Through these exchanges, we aim to
facilitate more socially relevant research, raise social awareness, and
advocate for social changes.
These
Workshops are conducted in Cantonese and Chinese proceedings of the Workshops
are available.
